The right kind of fear By Sis Jha Salvamante

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prospers you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope & a future.”
-  Jeremiah 29:11

This prayer assembly that we had last Monday, 22 May 2017, reminds me of how grateful our Lord God is amidst of my own personal fear and struggles, He uses this opportunity for me to make me realized what He has been doing to me while I’m patiently waiting.

With all the sharers during the PA, God speak up to me and He let me witness how my brothers and sisters made a triumph to cope up with their struggle while facing the right kind of fear.

For all the good and bad things, experiences, scenarios that has been happening to our lives, we always have to pray, we always have to” trust in our Lord with all our hearts and not lean in your own understanding” Psalm 3:5

Settings our minds, attuning our hearts to what is right beyond the negative thoughts and temptations that surrounds us, is a great factor for us to deal with our fear and claiming the victory. Our life working environment in this foreign land will definitely trigger for us to do good at all times. We claim that we are being trusted by our big boss in the company that we are working with and speaking in general we also have the capacity to use that trust for us to think of wrongdoing but then the Holy Spirit will always be there to remind us that we have to face the challenge of thinking right over what is wrong.

If we will always rely on our own understanding of what have been going through, our self-confidence, our self-esteem or even our self respect will always be at risk because it’s a manifestation that we allow our fear to lead, we allow ourselves to be enslave of worries. But brothers and sisters, we have a source of wisdom which can always directs us to the right thing.

We just have to spend a moment of silent to hear words for us to be guided toward facing our fear.
Fear, one of the enemy’s most popular weapons that he uses against us. Yet reality tells us that so much of what we spend our time worrying about never even happen. Living under the weight of what ifs is a hard place to dwell.

I also struggle with fear to worry for years but through time, I began to find that the things that once world have sent me down an anxious spiral, no longer had the same effect. It didn’t happen quickly but over days, months and years.

I read words- of life- of truth, through bible. Soaking them in over and over, praying them out loud. Until they become so familiar, they replaced the other things in my mind that I’d battled against. There’s nothing, magical about words and verses, but there is power through them, because they’re Gods words.

Change happened. Anxious thought began to diminish. Worry let go of its constant grip- And though fear is sometimes still there, it no longer wields control and hold me back.

His words in life, words, soothing to our soul. Calming to our spirit is giving power to our days.
We might still feel afraid but we can believe that God is with us. We may not be in control, but we can trust the One who is. We may not know the future but we can know God who does.

“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” Psalm 56:3

May God be praised!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to ...
