Am I ready for this battle? By Bro Paul Anjelo Tamaray

Being a Singles for Christ member, we have the mission "every single man and woman all over the world experiencing Christ". These words order us to be evangelizers not only to our co-Catholics but to all single people in the world.

I've been in the community for quite some time now and I already attended Christian Life Program many times.  Before, during and after every CLP, the enemy was always there because this is a spiritual battle. Kindly be more faithful and prayerful because we may feel that we're not worthy to serve our God. There were many traps in the way like temptations, sickness, danger in the road and many more.

Everyone was encouraged to attend the CLP Training last May 5, 2017 for us to be ready for this spiritual battle. This training enables us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. To withstand the attacks of the spiritual forces of evil, we must depend on God's strength and use every piece of His armor:

Belt of truth. It carries our weapons. Compare your beliefs and actions to the truth of the word of God because the truth keeps us from giving in the world's belief.

Breastplate of righteousness It protects our body and heart. It means standing up for weaker people because righteousness is being honest, humble, good and fair to other people.

Feet prepared with the Gospel of Peace. It protects our feet that are always ready. Jesus said that peacemakers are blessed. The Gospel of Peace is being right with God and being contented in time of troubles.

Shield of Faith. It protects us from all flaming arrows of evil one. Faith is believing to something even you cannot see it. Faith is being sure that God will keep His promises. Faith in God protects us when we are tempted to doubt.

Helmet of Salvation. It protects our head. Put on the Helmet of Salvation by believing that Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd and He is committed to love us and even lay down His life for us.

Sword of the Spirit. It is the Word of God. God's Word is our offensive weapon in this spiritual battle. When we tell others what the Bible says, the Holy Spirit helps people to acknowledge their bad thoughts and actions, and makes them want to be forgiven.

After the talks, the team heads asked us to have a workshop in order for us to apply what we have learned from the speakers. I was appointed as one of the discussion group leaders and the others played as participants. I need to lead the participants to an opening and closing prayer, initiate the conversation and to know each person’s like and dislikes.

After the workshop, they taught us to get the attention of the participants, focus on them while they are talking and don't forget to smile since first impressions last. Always take control of the conversation to avoid unnecessary topics. If the participants have questions, be open to take and answer it clearly but if you don't know the answer yet, don't hesitate to ask your heads for the answer or make a research to satisfy the need of the curious member.

I understand that CFC Singles for Christ is one kind of a support system where we can experience, share and know more about Jesus Christ. We are encouraged to evangelize people and go together near to our God by believing in Jesus Christ the Son of God and obey His teachings and commandments.  Always ask and pray to God to help us for our battles every day.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, we must open our hearts, mind and soul for God's marvelous power because God loves us first. We are called to serve no matter how big or small our role in this coming Christian Life Program, like Jesus Christ did 2000 years ago as a servant-leader, always glorify our God in any way we serve.

May God be praised!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to ...
