The Better Struggle By: Bro James Zerda

Our Chapter had our Prayer Assembly last 22nd March 2017 that was held at Center 2, Al Safah.

That day I was struggling with my work, so I have this doubt of attending the PA. After the office hour, I’m thinking if I will attend the PA because I feel so tired and toxic, but then I will not do anything on the house after work, so, I’ve decided to go.  The teaching of worship song has started when I came, then I was surprised that the topic for our PA was all about struggles, including our better struggles. That time I realized that the topic was really for me, and God was so good because he knows what are my troubles on that day.

To make the story short the teaching reminds us that the Lord will not give us struggles if we do not know how to handle it, because all of us are experiencing struggles in life, sometimes in family, more often in work, in love life and even with our friends. But it depends on us, on how we will handle this kind of struggle or situation.

As it is written in James 1:2-4 “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing”. Cause every struggle He gives is a blessing, because such struggle will make us better.

After that teaching, I was at eased and feel so blessed, because I am with this community in which they will always remind us to have faith with Him. Since, every after struggle that we encountered, God always provide us a new beginning. In Psalms 50:15 it is said, “Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me”.

Therefore brothers and sisters, don’t be afraid in facing any struggles in your life because the Lord is always there to help us, and all He want us to do is just ask and pray for it.

And for that, may God be praised.

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Christian Character Weekend By Sis Vianca Peregrina

After all the 6 talks in CCW, all I can say is that, it's the most remarkable teaching for me because I was able to immediately apply it in my life. This teaching has welcomed us with the reminder that our emotions should always be guided by the Holy Spirit because it can impact our character. The talk about Character of Humility has made me realize that acknowledging others and neglecting yourself is not how humility works, it is false humility and refusing to see the art God created within us. Instead, Humility is acknowledging that God has created ALL of us individually unique and because our God is fair and our perfect creator, He wrote each one of us equally beautiful plans ahead of us. If we keep this perspective and truth, we start appreciating ourselves, and being happy with ourselves gives us sufficient love for our neighbors. Appreciating ourselves and our neighbors is appreciating God's work. The character of Courage simply taught me that fear is normal, ...
