SFC Pre-ICONing By: Sis. Josette Campo (SFC 1C1 Dubai)

I'm so much excited for this year’s Pre-Icon, not only because it's in my hometown, but I am happy to update myself about Iloilo and this event is a very good avenue for me to know the place better.

The theme "Explore - Experience -  Encounter" is very personal to me because through our activities, it refreshes me about Iloilo Culture and the must-go places.

Our group was assigned for the hospital visit during on the first day. Seeing the patients at first ached my heart about their condition and opened my eyes to the real situation that those people need help and our presence satisfy their needs especially our prayers. We called our visit "Give Love on Valentine’s Day."  And I'm lucky enough my unknown relative to me admitted in the same hospital and it was an instant reunion venue for us to know each other.

Before I am used to go in swimming only in this place, but this time it's a worship venue. I thank God for bringing this event to Iloilo as I have experienced doing this, worshipping God in such place.
Another thing that I'm always looking forward to is to reunite with my friends that I met during our previous Pre-icon. And of course I've meet new friends from all over the world in this event.
A must-go Garin Farm in Miag-ao Iloilo is a dream come true. Here, it reminds me the creation story of our faith until ascension.  As I climb to the cross at the top and entering the dark meditation tunnel, the end part offered a surprise to myself reaching the heaven.

I thank You for the SFC Pre-Icon journey I’ve experienced.  This event reminded me of God’s unconditional and merciful love through the places and people I meet that helped me increase my heart’s burning desire to serve Him.  Pre-Icon is a precious and amazing experience that I will always cherish and treasure as I go ‘All Out for Christ.’

May God be praised!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Christian Character Weekend By Sis Vianca Peregrina

After all the 6 talks in CCW, all I can say is that, it's the most remarkable teaching for me because I was able to immediately apply it in my life. This teaching has welcomed us with the reminder that our emotions should always be guided by the Holy Spirit because it can impact our character. The talk about Character of Humility has made me realize that acknowledging others and neglecting yourself is not how humility works, it is false humility and refusing to see the art God created within us. Instead, Humility is acknowledging that God has created ALL of us individually unique and because our God is fair and our perfect creator, He wrote each one of us equally beautiful plans ahead of us. If we keep this perspective and truth, we start appreciating ourselves, and being happy with ourselves gives us sufficient love for our neighbors. Appreciating ourselves and our neighbors is appreciating God's work. The character of Courage simply taught me that fear is normal, ...
