How many hours do you spend browsing thru your social media accounts?

Have you ever really stopped to think about why it is so addicting? Why we have that need to check our newsfeed for new posts and get that sense of pleasure every time we put in our comment and feel thrilled when we receive replies in return?

Social beings that we are, we desire human contact. We long to be connected with people close to our hearts.

… our hearts…

… our hearts have that innate desire to be connected and while we try to be linked with the world at large, our Heavenly Father patiently waits for us to check in with Him thru our personal prayer times. He longs to hear our status updates and can’t wait to give us His comments in the form of blessings, the people we meet, the events we experience daily and sometimes even the challenges presented to us. He delights to hear our replies thru prayer, thanksgiving, supplication and contrition. He unwearyingly waits for us to take time to read about His stories and messages in the greatest book ever written…

… to connect with our Father is free. No hi-tech gadgets and no wi-fi required. We only have to come to Him stripped of all worldly things that are weighing us down and go back to the essence of our being – His children and forge the connection…

For all of this May God be Praised.

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Christian Character Weekend By Sis Vianca Peregrina

After all the 6 talks in CCW, all I can say is that, it's the most remarkable teaching for me because I was able to immediately apply it in my life. This teaching has welcomed us with the reminder that our emotions should always be guided by the Holy Spirit because it can impact our character. The talk about Character of Humility has made me realize that acknowledging others and neglecting yourself is not how humility works, it is false humility and refusing to see the art God created within us. Instead, Humility is acknowledging that God has created ALL of us individually unique and because our God is fair and our perfect creator, He wrote each one of us equally beautiful plans ahead of us. If we keep this perspective and truth, we start appreciating ourselves, and being happy with ourselves gives us sufficient love for our neighbors. Appreciating ourselves and our neighbors is appreciating God's work. The character of Courage simply taught me that fear is normal, ...
