Outgoing Editor's Note - By: Bro. Mharvs Roces

I was a neophyte of the Singles for Christ Abu Dhabi when my first write up appeared in Manus Dei, back in March 2010.  The feeling was splendid!  Seeing my article being published and reaching the eyes of many, gives me more reasons to be prouder not because I am part of the newsletter’s chosen contributors but, one thing I know, my write up gives inspiration to whoever reads it.

After being in love with this kind of service, the perfect time has come.  It was an answer to my desire, although writing is not my first passion, when in January 2013, I was entrusted to lead this Newsletter Ministry.  I was designated in the Editorial Board headship with high hopes that I can continue whatever has been started and bring Manus Dei even into a higher pedestal of evangelistic credit.  I may not have that defined qualification but I have God’s empowerment as an armament.  The discernment proved me right, in this case, since the power of prayer works that I was able to handle passionately.  God qualified me all throughout my service with Manus Dei.  And I slowly realized the joy of serving God and the community in this distinctive way is mastering me.

During my tenure, I met a lot of inspiring people, read a lot of awe-inspiring articles and gained a lot of inspirations.  Isn’t it inspiring? Working in God’s vineyard is strenuous but it brings many joyful, fulfilling moments. This is the fact I have upheld. I have to sincerely thank all of you - co-staffers, layout artists, contributors, promotion in-charge, heads and leaders (including those members whom I bothered when collecting articles) because you never abandoned me during those times I was chasing you to submit your assigned articles and to finish the creative layouts in time for release.

And now the time has come to pass the baton.  The new headship has begun this January 2017 under Sis. Che Esteban.  And nothing is newer, but more will be improved, I am sure.  The same desire goes on.  The same passion is on fire.   The same language of love is put in doing the works for this ministry.  To me, this is another marching call to all of you, dear brothers and sisters in Christ.  Let us continue to set our solid support to the whole Manus Dei team to keep its flag waiving.  Let us expand our reach so that every single article you contribute and layout [with love and passion] will mean strong continuity of the evangelistic achievements of our very own Manus Dei.  Let us be one in fulfilling the well-timed vision of SFC “Every single man and woman all over the world experiencing Christ.”

Be part of the Manus Dei! Don’t just read. Write!

Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam!!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to ...
