Live Genesis | Generation Christ - By: Sis. Denevie Cativo

Last 27th of January 2017, Chapter B1’s new members along with B1 unit heads, household leaders, and couple coordinator experienced one of the most powerful teachings of SFC , Live Genesis.

Held at Al Safah Building Flat 101 and headed by Sis Goldie Maybuena and Bro. Jason Rodriguez, It was the most striking event after our Covenant Orientation. We are indeed lucky and blessed to hear significant and incisive words from great speakers.

The first speaker was Bro. Bernz Arce, who came all the way from Al Ain along with his wife and two adorable kids. He was also one of the speakers during our Christian Life Program.

Bro. Bernz emphasized on how to Live Fully.  For (us) newbies, our understanding of Living Fully means to be in control of everything. He taught everyone to weigh every actions in their daily lives and that they should be a disciple of Christ, not only during Talks, Prayer Assemblies, or any other SFC Activities but being a Christian should be seen in our lifestyle – at work, at home, and with friends. People need not only a purpose in life to give meaning to their existence but also something to give meaning to their suffering. Everyone needs something to suffer for as something to live for.

“Watch, stand fast in faith. Be brave, be strong. Let all that you do
be done in love.” –
 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

One of the intense topic was Live Freely delivered by Sister Kate Sabug. It was an eye-opener to everyone.

She taught the dos and don’ts which everyone knows but keeps neglecting the facts that it should be necessary and inevitable to do. Drugs, gambling, gluttony, pre-marital sex, and all kinds of prohibited activities mainly in God’s eyes was tackled. Most of the attendees were struck and striving to assimilate the topic. It was literally an eye-opener as others were a bit sleepy, but then regained their will to absorb the aspects on how to Live Freely.

“"Your history is not your destiny"–
   Sister Kate Sabug

As Bro Jason and Sis Goldie introduce the next speaker, we were surprised on how they described the next speaker live his life, initially, on how he handle his financial aspects. He is not “kuripot” he just know how to manage well his earnings.

Live Simply was perfectly delivered by Bro. JM Comia, he explained how he begun living simply. Bro JM expound on how to know the differences between needs and wants, on when deciding to get or buy things, knowing the core priorities, learn how to be contented on what you have, learn how to manage your finances/earnings, and most of all, giving back to God which most of christians had heard about it but haven’t tried to give tithe.

Bro JM added, ‘beware of people whose basic needs are not being met in today’s world. Live simply so that others may simply live’.

Not that I speak in respect of want; for I have learned, in whatever state I am, therewith to be content. -Philippians 4:11

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each and every

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to
