A Servant’s Heart, Leading by Example National Leaders Assembly - By Sis Carla Soneja

Matthew 16:13-16 (NIV)
Who do you say I am? Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God”

And who do we say we are? Who do people say that we are?
Jesus as the Son of our living God and we as the chosen ones, Sons and Daughters of our Loving God.

Another day full of affirmation and love, gathering of all His servants, indeed my brothers and sisters, a fulfilling day it was for all of us whom He called to hear the good news, not just to listen but to receive and be empowered with His gracious presence and abundance.  All of us are unworthy, undeserving, sinners, had a lot of mistakes in our life and probably still working hard to be delivered from our past, yet because of His mercy and compassion to bring us to His Kingdom, He keeps on calling us and touching our hearts to surrender and follow His will and ways in fulfilling our life’s purpose individually.

All of us are servants “Work in Progress”, being God’s servant is the most honourable recognition we can stand for. In this gathering as one of His million ways of moulding us, we we’re again reminded that our spiritual life can only be nurtured and filled with HIS Holy presence by acknowledging Him as our great teacher, by receiving His words through different activities/teachings in the community and by living as an example, with a heart attune to His calling. Recognizing ourselves as Jesus followers, is giving ourselves selflessly and that includes being obedient enough to attend such event not because we are oblige but because you are called for a great purpose.

We’ve been reminded of so many things that time but what captured my heart and left me so inspired was the story of a couple who found their relationship with God as the center and the only third party to be involved in every moment of their lives.  As couple, they’ve both shared their deepest emotions, their real life struggles and trials that lead them to value of having a group of people who intimately praying for each other, the HouseHold. They’ve inspired me so much as they burst out their emotions with tears of joy and made me grasped how important it is to take the responsibility of keeping our household. The household is the smallest unit of our community yet the most important part of our spiritual development. I’ve been in the community for quite some time and as a member then, household is the most important day I always look forward to and what the couple had shared hits me so deep and made me realized how much blessed I was to be given a chance to serve through my own household. I am truly undeserving and unworthy yet He entrusted me His precious gifts. Serving Him through household is indeed a journey where you have to deal with every emotions and reality of life. There are moments when I truly don’t know at all how, what and when to do things and most of the times the guilt and sentiments drives me intensely, just the thought of not being able to act according to His ways. But I always thank the Lord for forgiving me for the times I am discouraged and fail to do what I ought to. Thank you so much for this couple that reminded me of that significant importance having my household be in the same direction that I/we are journeying, regardless of how difficult it may be to gather them, considering the different schedules, characters, circumstances and reasons from time to time. May we always keep it our hearts, that through consistent household gathering we initiate, we are becoming more open with many possibilities of refocusing our minds, redirecting our hearts and reviving our souls through intimate prayers, heart and mind, strength and soul, altogether praying for each other. Through the household, we are connecting at the same time collecting memories, knowing each other, having a solemn moment with His words and creating a deeper relationship with the ONE who’s always been there with us and waiting for us to fully commit ourselves to His transforming love. According to 1 Corinthians 16: 13-14; be on your guard, stand firm in the faith, be strong and courageous, doing everything in love, be that servant who never lose hope and patience in helping and reminding our brothers and sisters to live the life we are bounded to. For in His perfect time, everything will fall into place, just be patient, humble and obedient and offer our time and love selflessly.

Being God’s servants, we are called to serve in so many ways and we are so blessed to be part of the community wherein we all have the opportunities to grow spiritually more and more through different services. That being said, we are so thankful for the discernment and trust bestowed upon us, with my co-servant Bro. Federico Genobili (SFC Abu Dhabi Chapter A1), to work hand on hand to one of the program of the community, The Social Development under SCOM Group, such a great opportunity to be part of something great and we’re looking forward to use all Thy given gifts. I was also given a new Prayer Partner that day, Ms. Maricar Natalicio (Sharjah Chapter), another wingless angel and a gift from God. And the Lord of all surprises has given me a chance to meet my mission exchange #DreamTeamUganda co-servants Melvin Lapesigue (Sharjah Chapter) and Melinda Coral (Dubai Chapter). Thank you Lord for giving me moment to meet such loving, humble and inspiring people, we are strangers in a strange land yet You have linked our paths for a bigger purpose.

It’s always a joyful experience whenever you submit yourself to the will of God and I will look forward to having more of Him as I continue my journey through such event, not to be known as one of the leaders but because the Lord is allowing me to experience it as much as He wanted me to.

To serve is to be empowered. To be empowered is to be obedient. To be obedient is to be patient. To be patient is to love. To love is to understand and to stand is to be under God’s command.

Every moment is a journey and that journey is the mirror of what lies ahead of our life. Keep journeying and no matter how hard life make take us, never stop looking at the mirror, until we no longer see ourselves but the reflection of His love!!!

And for all of these, may God be praised!!!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each ...

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to ...
