My New Home Is SOLD By Bro Marvin Roces

Is this a difficult reality to transition? Not really! After my 8.3 years tenure in the Singles for Christ Abu Dhabi, finally it is time to bask in my new home called S.O.L.D. (the Servants of the Lord).

But first let me quickly take you back to my journey in SFC. It was on the 2nd of December 2009 when I received the most important, valuable Certificate in my life.  A Certificate that can never be quantified by any amount that I earned after a 13-week, no-fee yet fulfilling Christian Life Program conducted by the Singles for Christ. A Certificate stamped and sealed by God ~ certifying me to be His ‘own’ and servant.

Life then was never tranquil as I expected. Joining a renewal community aimed to transform people’s lives does not offer absolute comfort. During my service life, I had so many falls, and though struggling, I have to stand up and walk my feet out, until one day I found myself kneeling before my God and convicted. Yes, I was convicted. I was transformed. I was not an exception to the community’s goal in bringing people closer to God.  Simply, I did nothing, I just heeded the call.

Going further, from being a mere member, I became a pastor and friends to many members, head of a chapter-family, enemy of others (who cannot dance in my tune of headship and correction), faithful servant of God, of others and of the Church, worship leader, mission volunteer, team head of numerous activities, and the list is endless. These experiences opened my 0.01% of being holy that, once in my life, have touched many lives.  Overall, my SFC sojourn is exponentially fulfilling, overwhelming and blessed.

It may be difficult for others to let go of SFC, not for me because I have left a mark that will be forever imprinted in the hearts of many. This statement made me at ease to move, and always believing on what Khalil Gibran said “let there be spaces in your togetherness, and let the winds of the heavens dance between your souls”.

With this, I am now ready to move on to the next chapter of my service life. Last February 9, 2018, a new home welcomed me. The red carpet was laid before me when the CFC Servants of the Lord Abu Dhabi started its Christian Life Program, and I was once again a participant. Joyfully attending week by week, I garnered another equally important Certificate – again stamped and sealed by God – on April 20, 2018 certifying me this time to be “S.O.L.D. out” for God, for others, and for service.

I am now ready to serve and be all out for God. I am now ready to take on the new and interesting challenges during the months and years to come in my new home.  And my new home is SOLD!

May God be praised forever!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each and every

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to
