“Once upon a time…. and they lived happily ever after” By: Sis. Aramae Cuarto

I could have blame Disney movies for dominating my notion about fantasizing of becoming a princess ideal. Snow white, Cinderella, Belle, and other princesses who happened to have met their prince charming, and well, eventually lived happily ever after.  All too often, we seek for a happy ending without realizing what lies in between the beginning & the end of every story – it could have been the pain & joy or the ups & downs, etc. Sometimes, it’s right in the middle of the story, that love gives us the climax of a fairytale.  As girls, we admire princesses and we want to be just like one of them. But, being a princess doesn’t have to mean what you think it means. Ladies, you are a daughter of God, the King of the Kings. You are already a God’s princess made in the very image of God Himself. The “Princess Diaries Weekend” has imparted us the very essential meaning of being a princess in the eyes of the King, our God. It tackled mainly about (1) Being purs

God is our Fortress By: Sis. Yohree Faith Pantano

As we attended the CLP training last April 7, 2017 together with my brothers and sisters in christ. I’ve learned a lot of things that inspires me to continuously serve our God wholeheartedly. Christian Life Program (CLP) Training molds me and taught me to be tenacious and tough in fulfilling God’s will, and also to be prepared for the spiritual battle that I will encounter during the CLP and even in my journey in the Singles For Christ (SFC) community.  The training was started with a prayer, followed by the discussion of all the speakers who tackled about our spiritual weapons, what are our protections, what are our goals for the upcoming CLP and our zeal to succeed for this activity. Everyone was very attentive to the discussion, the topics are well presented that made my heart so excited for the service. We were also trained how to become a Discussion Group Leader (DGL) and on how to deal any distinctive personalities of our future participants. The training was very successfu

HouseHold Head Workshop By: Sis. Maria Larissa Apostol

A Reflection: After attending House Hold Orientation workshop I get a better understanding of the context “House Hold” and “House Hold Leader.” At first I thought that a House Hold is just a simple small group. It consist of 5-6 people who put up together to form a small group to pray, to chat or to simply gather together. But through the months of spending with my House Hold I get a better understanding of what is it really stands for. It’s not just about building friendship, getting along with each other, praying for each other,  having someone you can talk to, having someone to accompany you but most importantly it’s supporting each other towards knowing God .  Motivating each other to get to know God, accompany each other to walk towards God. It is not just about building up your relationship with people rather building your relationship with God with the help of others as well. Because people as we are we sometimes get easily tired, we tends to forget something, sometime w

HouseHold Head Orientation By: Sis. Edilyn Sucgang

Last 9th March & 20th March we had our Household Head Orientation Talk for Chapter B2          Into this talk it has filled our mind to know who we are as a servant or what a Christian Service is and being Household head or leader is all about. We come to know that we serve not only for ourselves but for The Almighty God. It is not what you do but who or what you are as you do it.  We serve the Lord regardless of ourselves and which you are also to be focused on what is the posture of our heart when it comes to service. This talk had opened my eyes towards my own service it got me through on those questions in which I really am when it comes to service.  Apart from it they do introduce what is household all about and what we should do in household? Why we should prioritize household? It was told that by means of household helps us to practice our pastoral side and builds our faith to the Lord it also let us share our personal experience with the Lord and as well prov

Frontliners of God’s Army By: Sis. Maria Katrina Ramos

Coming from a family of followers of Christ, and being in the CFC community for more than a decade now, I thought I knew the basics on how it is to evangelize and to bring people closer to God. I was confident that I am part of the chosen people of God.  From the statement above, one holds true to my beliefs, and the other, well, let’s just say needs to be pondered upon.  I was wrong when I thought that I knew the basics of evangelization, because truth be told, there is still so much more to learn. And that is exactly the purpose of the Evangelization Training.  The first talk is entitled The Great Commission. Simply put, WHY DO WE NEED TO EVANGELIZE? There are different answers to that question. But really, is there an explanation as to why God has called us? We, as SFC, have been called to be the frontliners of God’s army. And when we decided to answer His call, we decided within ourselves, with His guidance, that we will share His good news to the ends of the earth.

Prayer Assembly By: Sis. Kristine Languisan

On March 9, 2017, the second Prayer Assembly for this year was held. Members of SFC Chapter B1 were excited especially for us Newbies in the community for once again, it is  another special day  that the Lord has created for us to grow spiritually, pray together , and be one in glorifying and praising our Lord Jesus Christ . Today is also my first to serve and be part of the Music Ministry. Together with my fellow new members, we were nervous but at the same time joyful to serve and sing praises to our God. After the powerful opening prayer and worship which was led by Brother JM, he was also able to share on how God has helped him and his family go through unexpected recent challenges. I may not be able to write and specify the experience he shared ( due to some confidentialities) but the lesson and blessing that he has imparted to us is that with God and our prayers, our family will always surpass every trials for nothing is impossible with Him. Our beloved Cluster Coordina

Equipping Combatants of God By: Sis. Glaiza Marie Mislang

“Put on the full armor of God, so you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.” - Ephesian 6:11 Christian Life Program is about to start in few months. SFC Chapter B2 held a CLP Training last April 17, 2017. This training is a good opportunity for us (new members) to start serving our new brothers and sisters who will join the community and to continue to serve others as well. It aims to prepare everyone in the community to evangelize others brothers and sisters. It’s a privilege to us to be part of the said training for we have learned to fight in life’s battle. In talk 1, Tito Edwin Moralde discussed about Evangelism and Spiritual Warfare. To evangelize others, we just need to be humble enough and always seek for the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Tito Edwin have made some comparison with the world’s current situation with the CLP. He emphasized that the opposition will always be around but with the spiritual weapons and spiritual protection that God g

A Brave Heart By: Sis. Yohree Faith Pantano

Before I begin my story, my only desire is to inspire others and to mend a broken heart. I believe that some of you will be able to identify with what I have “gone through.” As a woman, I’m always dreaming to have a perfect relationship. I want to find someone who will love me unconditionally and will treat me like a princess. One day, I met a guy that was introduced to me by a friend of mine and he became my boyfriend for 4 years. I really thought that he is “The One”, “My Forever”, “My knight in shining armour” and my everything. But things didn’t work out between us. He cheated on me not just once, twice, thrice but many times. Yes, you’re right I’m so in love with him to the point that I forgot to love myself. I decided to end up our relationship and just moved on. It was never an easy journey for me, I feel utterly and helplessly alone. Vindictive thoughts occupied my mind, everything has shattered in so many places and I don’t even know where to begin. The pain never goes

Sweetest Thank You By: Bro. Melvin Lapesigue (SFC Sharjah)

Thank you Lord!!! I always look forward for our National Leaders Assembly because this is a great opportunity to meet and greet my friends from previous missions, service and GI's (God's instruments) of inspiration, love and faithfulness. When I woke up that morning, I realized that I have to travel from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi for the assembly and part of me is telling myself not to attend and just make excuses to my Cluster and Chapter CFC Coordinators. I didn't give up to the call of the flesh so I changed and traveled all the way from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi. We reached St. Joseph’s Cathedral and had a hard time looking for the hall. We found out that it is in basement parking area. The music min started playing songs for gathering and eventually taught us the song for this year’s theme “Stand Firm in the Faith”. I was reminded that amidst life hurdles and difficulties, to remain steadfast and firm, do it with love. Tito Nick, AREA CFC-SFC Coordinator welcomed u

I am a Princess of God By: Sis. Jha Salvamante

Princess Diaries is one of the most awaited teachings in the SFC Community. All the lovely and gorgeous sisters of Chapter B2 were all invited, gathered and all together, we listened to how precious we are in God's eye. God sends His affirmation in a way that He always looks after us as He allowed us to experience His heartfelt messages, that we are His Princess. Center 1 in Al Safa turned into a place full of inspiration and filled with Godly charm as the room is full of lovely flowers hanging here and there. As the weekend retreat starts, I already felt Gods unique image and likeness in each sister inside the room as they display their joyful and eager hearts with their undying compassion to serve. Sisters where all so adorable as they wear their dresses, put on their make-up and styled their hair, their simplicity flaunt the most portraying a mystery to be revealed, someone to be pursued and a beauty to be unveiled. As Sis Che , shared one of Gods message,“ God created

Ignorance in Scripture is Ignorance in Christ By: Bro. Jonathan Lim Villapania

I admit I am one of the people who are not reading the bible daily. What is ignorance? Ignorance is lack of knowledge or information. Reading bible is one of the powerful tools to communicate to God because everything written in the bible is the word of God.   During our last household this May, we shared about our reflection and experiences about reading the bible. I know that I don’t read bible daily but I am trying my best to give time for opening the last page I was stop to read it. And my experience when I read the bible especially when you start with Genesis, you will know everything that happen from the beginning. You will find out when circumcision started, when Abraham started to give tithes, when Noah build an Ark and all the descendants of Jesus. Another thing is you will find out all the stories in the bible and what the real meaning of every bible verse. Everything is in the scripture so that if we want to find more about our God, start to read it. In

Love and Tragedy By: Sis Des Amarillo SFC Dubai Chapter 1A1

Every single man and woman may want a lot of things. But deep in their hearts the only thing that really matters most is finding that one true love . In this world full of strangers, how can two people find each other? Well, it sounds like the line of a song, but how can you really tell if the two of you are really meant for each other? How would you know if you are the better half made by God to complement somebody? Would you really find your soul mate? How can you find the answers to all these questions? It seems impossible. Some say it is fate…some say it is destiny. I love attending weddings because this occasion culminates the long unending search for your one true love . The newlyweds bind themselves to love and to hold in richer and in poorer, in sickness and in health till death do they part. It’s a vow made by them in front of all the witnesses, most especially to God. They made a covenant, a commitment, which should not be broken. How you wish you could
