THE SERVANT LEADERS (Household Heads Training & Orientation) By Sis. April Rose Maureal

“There’s no hindrance in serving the Lord if we focus on Him”

We look up at every leader as a role model who guides each individual in a community.  In  SFC, it is our privilege as members to be in a household where we can share intimately with our dear brothers and sisters our triumphs, innermost concerns, or even our simple thoughts; as well as worshipping and glorifying God - the spirit of camaraderie lies in each household. Simply put, the household is a system of loving and caring.

Each household has a designated leader - a brother or a sister that takes charge of the household. Household Heads must lead by example, which is best displayed in their compassion towards their members. I personally honor our Household Heads for their attitude of service towards their members. The passion to serve illuminates from within them; that natural feeling that one wants to serve, not because they must – but because they are willing.

The goal of ‘Household Heads Training’ is to evangelize future leaders of SFC. It says in 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others.” I believe that God has given each of us a unique passion — a special ability and a specific place to serve His great mission in the world. It is the very thing God created us to do. In SFC, we are called to serve one another through our respective households. Let’s make use of the leverage we have at SFC, this community serves as our avenue to be at service to God, to spread love, to mature spiritually and to be a channel of inspiration towards each other.

Ideally, it is not an easy task, leading a group of 4 to 6 members to come together with evangelistic purpose; but with God’s presence along with the leader’s love for each member it is executed gracefully. As a servant leader, you lose a lot of yourself because you've got to go above and beyond to reach out your very ‘hectic’ member. You've got to listen with your heart on your brother or sister’s frustrations, dilemma or whatever that may be. You've got to go the extra mile and give genuine emotional energy on caring for the success and failure of each brother or sister under your care. Just as a Shepherd that looks after a sheep, a Household Head journeys beside each brother or sister no matter how steep the valley is. Kudos to our servant leaders!! You lose something yet you gain something worth all the effort – the soul you just saved!

We are experiencing the blessings of a renewed life in Jesus because someone took the time and effort to love and care for us. The challenge is on, all it takes is a decision to go out of comfort zones in service of our SFC community. Be mission ready to take on a more difficult but more meaningful service. Let us be man and woman in faith!

Let us give our full support to our servant leaders - be it a Household Head, Unit Head, or Chapter Head; as they give off themselves in service to help fulfil the mission and vision of SFC. Finally, let us all pray for the outpouring of the power of the Holy Spirit upon them and for the intercession of our Blessed Mother.

May God be praised!

My CLP Experience Christian Life Program: Unbox Your Faith By Bro Joseph Fruto

“A life devoted to things is a dead life, a stamp, a god-shaped life is a flourishing tree”  -Proverbs 11:28   We are in the world where people give so much avidness to wealth, technology, trend, etc. At some point we forget to nourish our spiritual need. That is to live life with love, humility and gratitude. It may sound impossible to put into action but yes, it is possible with a great faith to God we can outshine the good and surmount the greatest challenge of being Christian and live life with meaning. Before I was invited to join the Christian Life Program (CLP), I know that there is God and I believe in Him. From a family that doesn’t religiously go to church we don’t see it as a duty of being a Christian. So long I don’t do detrimental things I am therefore a good Christian. At the age of 21 I tried my luck abroad, I worked in Saudi hoping to speed up my career and help my family. Being away was a struggle and homesickness was the enemy I fought each and every

Pray Over Workshop By Sis. Maricar Mandani

In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.-Romans 8:26-27 How do we pray and how do we pray for others effectively? Most of us would like to pray for others, but to be honest we don't know how and what to pray. We are often filled with good intentions but without enough knowledge to utter, we tend to use the same phrases over and over or we fall into patterns, or sometimes we simply are not good in expressing with words. As part of our preparation for our CLP Talk 9- Receiving the power of the Holy Spirit- the much awaited session for every CLP. We had a PRAY OVER WORKSHOP, held last August 15, 2017. The teaching was led by Tita Lourdes, here we experienced and practiced a pray over session. Learned how to
