With more than thousand delegates from different  participating nations of middle east and several  countries from Africa, including Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, KSA, Seychelles, Kenya, and the host country UAE, all gathered for a big event to glorify and worship GOD. One Goal, One vision and mission of CFC-Singles for Christ is to adhere and bring all brothers and sisters closer to GOD and to fulfill the mission of teaching outside and inside the community. I am so overwhelmed because it’s a wonderful and great experience as a first timer attending on this big event which happen to be in UAE as host. Let me tell you the exact same thing when I witness this beautiful event, actually the night before the fellowship, someone calls me If I am available to attend that conference since one of the brother failed to attend because of some offshore work duties. Lucthis I am so thankful to our Lord Father for letting me experience this great feeling. kily sin...

Chastity By Bro Symon Dela Cruz and Sis Rose Catapang

In Christian Catholic  "Chastity "  is classified as one of the virtue, it does not only mean having no sexual relation before getting married but a vow of fidelity your partner. When most people hear the word Chastity they mistakenly think it is "awkward" to talk about sexual things and its only for those with partners. But we as a partner and in a relationship status during our workshop, at first we felt awkward especially when the speakers says unusual words such as "sex","masturbation", condoms and vices including watching pornography, reading and looking at the sensitive parts of a person's body. But as went along and listened we realized that it is very interesting and a challenging topic. As a Christian Catholic and part of SFC Community, We must practice the virtue of "CHASTITY " and stop doing these vices and refrain from any sexual relations or extramarital sex. Don't look at the physical appearance of the...

With A Joyful Heart, We are Ready to Serve Him By Sis Loida Odones

October 13, 2017 marks a memorable event being one of the members of SingIes for Christ by giving my time fully to the Lord by understanding the questions, why I was called and why am I here for?  We, the new members in this community, were invited to attend the Covenant Orientation Weekend for this will be the moment I can surely answer the questions I have in my mind. The day was filled with joy and excitement hearing seven inspiring talks from different speakers who also gave their time, talent and treasure who served as our inspiration of how blissful they are serving and living their life faithfully to the Lord. Talk 1: Our Covenant and the Mission and Vision    It was explained and made us understand the deeper meaning of what Covenant is all about. Covenant is a solemn lifetime or long-term agreement of not just between two equal parties, but between a greater or more powerful person.  Being in SFC and Christians as a whole who chose to follow ...

Covenant Orientation Weekend By Sis Anna Liza Perez

It was year 2012 when Brother Jervy Penuliar who happens to be my College Schoolmate invited me to join SFC. I, unfortunately, gave my refusal and answered NO as I have only 1 day off and split duty with my previous company. I got afraid that I may not be committed and that I may fail him, so the thought of going to church and attending mass will be my excuse that time to satisfy my commitment to God. In 2013 my sister and brother-in-law joined CFC. As years go on, I have seen and witnessed all their struggles, disappointments, depressions, flaws, imperfections, ups and downs despite being in the community. My fear increased more, for I thought that joining the community will transform us and change our hearts and minds drastically without realizing that it is really a work in progress. Finally, my journey in SFC started on 19th May 2017. I was invited again but still not sure of my decision and expectations. I was nervous, clueless and empty-handed. All I know during t...

Our hurts, our healings, our forgiveness By Sis Angelee Primavera

Our hurts, our healings, our forgiveness . These phrases were the parting words that were stocked on us after attending the October Prayer Assembly for SFC Chapter A1 last October 13, 2017 held at Center 1, Al Safa Building. This night was one of those assemblies when emotions were too strong because it is definitely close to everybody’s heart. During the activity, the team heads Bro. Bryan and Sis Thel opened the night with a question, “how it means to be a Christian?” Some answered its loving God, some says believing in His words. This activity with the theme “Conquering evil with good” mainly revolves around the love we have for others, even those who hurt us. As per Luke 6:27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you”. However, how can we love our enemies? It is easy said than done. We all know that if a person has caused you so much pain, it will never be easy to forgive. The next question will be, “what do we really meant by forgi...

The Joy of Newness By Sis Cherie Catipon

Before I was a very unfaithful person, and I would always ignore the signs and the blessing that God would do for me. The world may be a depressing state of affairs especially when you listen to negative people. In my journey of life, it is hard to walk alone and no one can understand the pain that I have inside. We experience sorrow and it is part of being human. Life is difficult without God. Life is difficult if we only see the pain. Life is difficult if you don’t know how to love. Depression happens because we have forgotten to love and forgotten to give. Giving does not have to be about money, it can just be giving back time. We all have baggage’s that we carry from our past, and honestly, I’ve been suffering for a long time, and it is hard to practice acceptance when you deeply wish things were different but the truth is sometimes we can’t change our reality, even if we try. We can’t change the past. What happened in your past happened so our only hope is to learn how to accept...

In My Nothingness By Sis Lei Marcelo

Some parts of the song, Let Her Go resonates with me as I make my reflection for this article. It goes this way, “But you only need the light when it's burning low. Only miss the sun when it starts to snow…” There is this a reality in our world that reveals us that not until we burn low, then we realize that we need some shade of light; not until we experience the freezing cold of snow we appreciate the presence of the sun; and not until we hit the rock bottom, then we realize how blessed we are.  During my much younger years, we really strived for many things - for education, for the food that we are going to eat, for our daily expenses, and for a harmonious relationship in the family. It seemed like a long endless journey of always looking for a source to provide our needs. Looking back on how we have crossed and still crossing that, I can see that God never really left us empty. On the surface, it may seem that the world is turning its back on us, but it is only teaching ...

I am Ready Mission Exchange 2017 Team India By Sis Mercy Ilagan

Travelling on my birthday has always been a yearly plan. Since I heard wonderful stories from our brethren who volunteered in Mission Exchange, I decided to give it a try…to be part of the mission. Two months before the mission dates when I submitted my registration form. It was my discernment to be in Rwanda team but the Lord had a different plan for me. Through the recommendation of our Chapter Head, I received an approval to be in Team India. Yehey!  The preparation.  It was part of my previous job to be in charge of my colleagues’ business trips arrangement. From flights to accommodations, to the itinerary, I have the full control of organizing everything. This was not the case for Mission Exchange - Team India. Things did not happen according to the schedule I set for myself as I had to wait for the other volunteers’ confirmation.  Worried that we would not be able to find the flight and get our visa on time, I was frustrated. Then, we were advised to do the co...

Team Burundi SFC missionaries from UAE By Bro Fiacre Gahiro (SFC Burundi)

What a wonderful moment to experience Christ! It was on August 31, 2017 that SFC missionaries arrived in Burundi. Considering their trip, they might be tired but at their arrival they immediately came to join old SFC members to share about the mission itinerary. The next day, they woke up early to attend mass and also distributed flyers to invite for the Christian Life Program.  In the afternoon, we have Household with our brothers and sisters and the other CFC. The third day was a busy day but full of joy. It was CLP day.  Those who managed to attend were very interested and they prayed.  All of us experienced something very important, the call of our Lord. The sharing, songs and actions, everything was invitation that belongs to Christ like the songs Redeeming Love, Shine Jesus Shine, Refiner’s Fire and many more. Some brothers said it was a good moment that they realized that Christ called them to be part of SFC. Through the community, we can experience God’s ...

God Sent me to Africa By Bro Reggie Dela Cruz

I always inspired by stories when someone came back from mission exchange. I always wonder what is the feeling to be in a place that you never been, giving a talk, inspired individuals and lesson and experience you will gain after your journey. When Mission Exchange called an assembly that was one month prior to sending off. God whispering me to go for mission just say yes I will give you what you need. I have some excess baggage during that time, I have doubt as well if my company will allowed my request. Team Burundi is open for brother in able to pursue that mission exchange. My SFC brothers and sisters are chasing me to signed up, they said God will make away don’t worry we will pray for you. I signed up that night, on that night I pray to God, I trust in You, Lord I say yes. I’m still struggling on leave application and NOC for visa processing, one week before sending off, my leave is still pending I worried that I will cannot go on mission. But prayer real can move mo...

A Call to Love By Sis Au Ventilacion

As I have my yes again for another mission, Our Lord Almighty didn’t allow us unequipped, He sent His unending graces and His Holy Spirit for us to accomplish the mission entrusted to us. His call is the sweetest voice that we could ever hear, a voice full of love and mercy. Saying YES to HIM is very a courageous thing to do and a called from Him is also a called to LOVE… to love His people and serve them with a good heart. During our mission, a lot of messages and fulfillment came into my heart. My passion to serve and love has grown and rooted deeply even more. The JOY that it brought into our hearts can’t be compared from any other worldly things. I know I’m not worthy but He made me feel worthy because of this. The smiles and laughter of His people as we served them during our mission double the smile in our hearts and their genuine kindness inspired us to be more kind as well. Love is the main reason why we said yes and why will always keep saying YES. …and for that may God...
